HOW CAN WE MAKE SUPPLY CHAINS MORE CIRCULAR?

Pathways for Fashion and Consumer Electronics

In this latest white paper ‘Delivering on circularity’, DHL has laid out the ways in which global production and consumption behaviors will need to change to be compatible with the environmental goals that lie at the core of sustainability.

The journey toward circularity is one that many industries must take, but the opportunity in consumer goods – particularly fashion and consumer electronics – merits a closer look. The presence of these industries in our lives is nearly universal, the measures that the industries’ stakeholders can take are clear and manageable, and the potential positive impact is huge.

The transition toward circularity is built on the redesign of supply chains: optimizing production volumes and materials, extending product lifecycles, launching novel use models, and developing new solutions for end-of-life recycling.
